The Emira will be equipped with an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel with touch buttons for controlling volume and managing the car's numerous functions, according to these teaser photographs. The Emira will also have a digital instrument cluster that can be customised to show numerous key vehicle functions as well as things like a G-meter.

Lotus has already teased the external design of the Emira, revealing that it will be inspired by the all-electric Evija. In fact, the Emira's headlights resemble those of the Evija, and it will have equally accentuated front and rear haunches, giving it a stance on the road that is distinct from the Elise, Exige, and Evora.

The automobile is likely to be equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine mated to a dual-clutch transmission and capable of producing over 300 horsepower. A supercharged 3.5-liter Toyota V6 with more than 416 horsepower and a six-speed manual transmission will also be offered.

The Lotus Emira 2022 will be unveiled in its entirety on July 6, just in time for the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
