Chevrolet upped the base price of the 2022 Corvette by $1,200, and costs for other options are also more than they were previously.
Images obtained from GM's ordering system suggest that the popular Z51 Performance Package is now $6,345, rather than $5,995. In addition, the sophisticated front-end lift system on the sports car is now priced at $2,260, up $860 from the 2020 and 2021 models. The Black Trident Wheels are now $100 more expensive ($2,995), as is the optional High Wing ($1,250), according to Corvette Action Center.
The 2022 Corvette has a starting price of $62,195 for a 1LT Coupe, $69,495 for a 2LT Coupe, and $74,145 for a 3LT Coupe. Meanwhile, prices for the 2022 Corvette 1LT Convertible start at $69,695, the 2LT Convertible starts at $76,495 and the 3LT Convertible costs $81,145.
Except for a few price changes, the 2022 Corvette hasn't altered much, albeit it now comes in three new exterior colours: Hypersonic Gray, Caffeine, and Amplify Orange Tintcoat. The 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8's direct fuel injection system has also been modified, and the engine has been re-calibrated. The Active Fuel Management system has also been updated, allowing the engine to deactivate cylinders over a wider range of RPMs and lower ratios.
The most significant modification for 2022 is the addition of the IMSA GTLM Championship Edition package, which will be limited to 1,000 units and will cost $6,595. Corvette Racing graphics, black Trident wheels, Corvette Racing ‘Jake' centre caps, and Strike Yellow or Sky Cool Gray interiors are all included.
