 For the fourth time this year, the Nissan Rogue 2021 has been recalled owing to a problem with the back seats.
According to the recall notice, a Nissan supplier failed to correctly build the rear seats in some models. The top tether wires in the rear seats may not have been correctly welded to the seatback structure, according to the automaker, which is critical because these wires are part of the LATCH system for anchoring child safety seats.

According to Nissan's analysis, these wires may have shifted out of position during the welding process, indicating that they were not properly welded to the seatback. The wires may not meet the strength standards for child restraint systems as a result of this. During an assessment, Nissan discovered three left-side seats and one right-side seat with insufficient welds. There have been no incidences connected to this issue that the company is aware of.

The recall affects a total of 47,098 Nissan Rogue SUVs from the model year 2021. If a nonconforming weld is discovered, the affected seatback will be replaced free of charge. From July 30 onwards, owners will be notified by mail.

The Nissan Rogue was most recently recalled in May owing to a potential lack of an internal bushing that secures the O-seal ring in the rear brake calliper assembly. This recall affected 14,045 vehicles from the model year 2021. Nissan also recalled the 2021 Rogue earlier this year because a few units were equipped with wheel nuts designed for the Nissan Maxima. Furthermore, in February, 2,146 Rogues were recalled owing to a fuel pipe that was poorly fastened and could leak.
