Bronco Hardtop is a name Ford has given to their new Bronco pickup truck. Can't Say When They'll Be Delivered Is Their "Achilles Heel"

The Ford Bronco looks like it'll be a strong off-roader, which is good because it's had a rough ride so far.

The model was widely leaked ahead of its presentation, and the coronavirus epidemic caused the reveal to be postponed. When Ford tried to get things back on track, they scheduled the reveal on O.J. Simpson's birthday, forcing them to postpone it once more.

When the Bronco was eventually released in July of last year, it was an instant smash, with consumers lining up to make reservations. The Bronco's rocky start continues, unfortunately for some of them.

Ford commended customers for their patience during the epidemic, unprecedented demand, supply chain challenges, and "countless other stuff you don't give a damn about," according to Hooniverse. It goes on to say, however, that additional patience is required.

The company can't provide consumers a delivery date update because the Bronco's hardtop is their "Achilles heel," according to the e-mail, which notes that "this launch has ruined our best intents and assumptions." Ford went on to say that their manufacturing capacity doesn't match demand, and that they're "spending millions of dollars to resolve our roof supply issue." Regardless, the problem will not be fixed overnight, leaving consumers to wonder when their Bronco will arrive.

Although this is disappointing news, Ford has committed to keep customers informed. Customers will also have priority access to the Bronco Off-Roadeo, an off-road experience that will take place in four different locales later this year, according to the business. That's not much comfort, but maybe the problems can be resolved sooner rather than later.
